Cheese and Crackers

I know you're all dying to see my cheese and crackers that I made with all the fat quarters Faith gave me for Christmas last year, plus I had to add some.

Making progress

Over the weekend I finished up my X-Block lap quilt.  All I have to do is put the backing on it.   Faith gave me some beautiful fat quarters last year and I'm finally putting them into a quilt now, called cheese and crackers.  Wink

Working on the X-Block

I started working on this new pattern called the X-Block.  You basically cut an X in the material at a certain place and you have your pattern.   (click on picture to view larger)

Can you see the X A closer look If you look at the first picture and then look at this one, you'll see the pattern runs differently.

Bless those CAM guys!

Well, we finished up the last phase of the patio today.  The guys from CAM came at 1:p.m. today, along with the cement truck which also arrived at the same time.  We had 7 guys helping to bring cement back to the patio.  By 1:20 it was all poured and formed.  Rick and Bill stayed a little longer to float it.  This week Rick is teaching Bill (who's the orientee at CAM) how to do tile, brick and cement work, so our little project came just in time.  We should be able to remove the forms by Friday.

Rick drilling rebar in the patio to keep the new cement in place. (I thnk that's what it's for)   DSCN1593.JPG DSCN1594.JPG The Boss DSCN1596.JPGDSCN1597.JPG DSCN1598.JPG DSCN1599.JPG DSCN1602.JPG Finished!! The cement itself, is six inches thick.
