Keeping busy and having fun doing it.

I thought I would share my beautiful garden with you.  The tall leaves in the back, closest to the porch, are ginger lillies.  When in bloom, which should be soon, they smell soooo good.  (Don't forget to click on the pictures)

The impatiences you see in the back, all came up on their own this year. Usually I have to replant them each year. The greenery climbing up the rain spout, is all in bloom now with little white flowers that smell wonderful. This was a wild jasmine that I pulled out of the woods. Becky sent me home with a hibiscus that took root right away and now in bloom in bloomdscn1993.JPG

And when I'm not in my garden, I'm working on my quilts.

This is one I’m working on now, called Warm Wishes. dscn1928.JPG dscn1929.JPG

This is one I just finished.  A lot more detailed as I had to applique the hearts onto the white and black material. Then did the log cabin pattern around the block before sewing on the black and white sashing.  After that, it was just the borders.  It was a fun quilt to put together for someone special at Christmas.

heart quilt. Just finished this and it’s now being machine quilted. closer look dscn1977.JPG The last one
